Hands of God Choir

A Sign language choir – signing songs from professional CD’s. Meets every Tuesday night from 6:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Beck Library.

Leadership Classes

Leadership Classes are offered every year. Open to all who feel called to leadership at some point in the future or currently. Subject varies year by year. Currently focused on Worship. Meets the 3rd Monday of the month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Beck Library.

Preaching

Our Pastor, through the Holy Spirit, identifies people called to preach. He then gives them opportunities to develop the gift – first on Wednesday nights, then, when the Spirit leads him, on Sunday mornings, and then to other churches.

Funeral Dinners

Funeral Dinners – The church offers a meal to grieving families and their friends following the funeral service. Takes place here at the church under the leadership

of Mary Laughlin and Loretta Smith. People may help serve and clean up following the meal and/or by preparing a dish for the meal.

Parish Nurse

Mary Laughlin was trained at Marian College to use her nursing gifts for the good of the church. She is available in the Kindred Room every Sunday, following the first service. She takes blood pressures, helps understand what the doctors have said, assesses medications, makes recommendations for help.

Fellowship Meals

Take place several times throughout the year.

Soup for Seniors – taken to their homes once every January.

St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon at the church on the day closest to March 17. Corned beef and Cabbage (also ham and potatoes), rolls, salad, and dessert.

Women’s Tea either in May or August.

4th of July picnic

Thanksgiving Pitch-in Lunch the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Open to all.

Christmas Eve Breakfast following worship.

Sound Board/Projectionist

Open to anyone who feels called and desires to learn. Provides help for all three services, and special services.

Counseling Ministry

6 lay people have received training as lay counselors. We are not Professionals. Available for free at times mutually convenient to the counselor and counselee. A man never counsels a woman alone. A woman never counsels a man alone.

Deep Level Healing and Deliverance

Prayer ministry led by the Holy Spirit. It is led

by our pastor, who is assisted with a prayer partner. A woman prayer partner when ministering with a woman, a man prayer partner when ministering with a man. It is free and takes place at times that are mutually convenient to all parties. For ages 18 to 60.

Angel Food Ministry

Provides about $ 60 worth of food for $ 30. Offered monthly. Open to everyone. Volunteers are welcome the day food is passed out. The church buys food boxes for both the North Charlestown Outreach Center in Charlestown and the Community Needs Ministry in New Washington

Social Outreach Ministry

Provides funds for those in need when all other resources are exhausted. Joe Eberle leads this ministry. Gifts are welcome throughout the year.

Angel Tree Ministry

Provides clothes at Christmas for children in both Charlestown and New Washington.
